If you have any questions or concerns about one of our products, you may find your answer here.
Q: WHERE DO THE RAMPS GO?
A: The "Ramps" also known as "extension rails" slide underneath the rack system and pin into the rail hangers on the high rack, and low rack. They will lock behind your tailgate to prevent theft.
Q: IS MY TRUCK GOING TO BE TOP HEAVY?
A: The Multy Rack is designed to disperse the weight of your cargo directly to your cargo box floor, and bed rails. Your vehicle handling will change, however, it is not unsafe. Some of our customers say it feels no different than hauling a full-size truck camper.
Q: HOW DOES THE RACK SYSTEM PERFORM IN HIGH-WIND AREAS?
A: With the Multy Rack System installed, with no cargo, you won't notice a thing.
With the rack system loaded with cargo, it will be no different from hauling a full-size truck camper or pulling an enclosed cargo trailer. In high-wind areas, you may notice wind resistance but it is nothing that will tip your vehicle.
Q: WHY NOT JUST USE A TRAILER?
A: Trailers and Multy Rack Systems are completely different methods of transportation for the same cargo. The Multy Rack eliminates the need to haul a trailer, which can be a huge headache. Trailers take up lots of room, are hard to maneuver, contain lots of blind spots, hard to find parking for, require special licenses (in some countries), require additional insurance, and much more. Also, did we mention you can have a fully loaded Multy Rack System and still haul a trailer? Talk about versatility.
Q: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO UNLOAD?
A: It's fast but safe. When the Multy Rack System is installed in your vehicle, the initial loading/unloading procedure can take as few as 5 minutes. This will vary depending on what cargo you are transporting.
Q: HOW IS IT SAFE?
A: The Multy Rack is safe in many different ways. The highlight of the Multy Rack is that you load, strap, and secure your cargo on the ground. There is no need to drive recreational vehicles up steep and dangerous ramps. We use wireless winch technology to bring your load from the ground, to above the vehicle.
Q: WHAT IS MAX THE WEIGHT CAPACITY?
A: The Multy Rack has an official maximum weight rating of 2,500lbs (1,134kg).
Q: WHAT DOES IT COST?
A: The rack system is completely modular, so you only need to purchase the parts you need for what you want to haul. Because of this, pricing will vary depending on what recreational vehicles or cargo you want to load. To see estimated package pricing, please see our configurations page or contact us for a quote.
Q: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO INSTALL OR DISASSEMBLE?
A: Dependant on which configuration you are installing, times may vary. The base of the system can be installed in about 15 minutes (High Rack, Low Rack, Bed Rails). The LOAD part of the system can take 35-55 minutes (Wiring, Bulwark Riser, Etc.). You can check out our installation videos and tutorials on our videos page.
Q: HOW DOES IT MOUNT TO MY PICKUP TRUCK?
A: The Multy Rack's base system is installed in your vehicle without the use of bolts, drilling, or welding. The bed rails are secured to the truck with high-strength turnbuckles to your factory box hooks. The bed rails come with legs to transfer the majority of the weight directly to your cargo box floor. The control box wiring runs from the cargo box, underneath the vehicle chassis to the battery. There are no permanent modifications done to the pickup truck.
Q: WHAT TRUCKS CAN IT FIT IN?
A: The rack system has a one-size-fits-all base. The bed rails are fully length adjustable which can fit everything from a 5.5' box, all the way up to an 8' box. The high rack and low rack are width adjustable. The bed rail legs are height adjustable with fine adjustment. With all of these variables, it will fit almost every 1/2-Ton, 3/4-Ton, and 1-Ton truck on the market. For the mid-size and smaller trucks, we are working on a Mini Rack System to accommodate trucks like Tacoma's, Rangers, Colorados, etc.
Q: HOW MUCH ROOM DOES IT USE OF THE CARGO BOX?
A: Little to none. We designed the system to vacate the area above your bed rails, so you have your entire cargo box for storage. The bed rail leg supports are the only things that occupy space in the cargo box, which is just a few inches from the corners of the box (hardly noticeable).
